Tiger Woods Experiencing His Putting

Previous world number 1 Tiger Woods is now taking part in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Tournament in which his approach play outstanding but his putting has been a regular thorn as part of his side.

Woods, has not played competitive golf for at least seven weeks, and he showed how his start playing it through the opening round of two under par 70 in Abu Dhabi Golf Club. He required thirty four putts throughout his game which supposed he simply made 2 birdies.

“It felt just like it has from Oz around the world Challenge here,” said Woods, “I controlled my golf ball all day long and just had a difficult time finding a sense of these greens. They're grainy plenty of to wherever I just did not quite go through them right, and I hit them good, and so the grain might take it, require it. It absolutely was simply difficult. I believe my speed was off simply because I really didn't quite have it right.”

When Woods said he hit the greens good he certainly meant it. He managed to hit 17 of the 18 greens in regulation, only missing the No.10, and he also hit 10 of 14 fairways and did not make a single bogey.

Joining Woods on the course were the likes of Rory McIlroy who shot a five-under par 67 to tie for the early first-round lead with Robert Karlsson. Woods will certainly need to improve his putting if he is to first catch and then overtake the leading pack.
